SAFETY IN YOUR LAB
Safety is the primary concern of Dimanlab®, an area with which the company is fully engaged and committed.
All equipment components comply with ISO9001:2015 quality and ISO14001:2015 environmental process management standards as well as meeting EN-14056 guidelines and recommendations for laboratory furniture. In addition, the OpenLab® metal frame is EN 13150 certified.
PERSONAL PROTECTION AND SAFETY
All the components that comprise any laboratory must be designed and put in place with the primary objective of achieving maximum personal safety and protection.
PROPERTY PROTECTION AND SAFETY
The economic value of a laboratory’s infrastructure and equipment is, as a rule, quite high, and it must be protected from potential accidents or circumstances that may damage or destroy it.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND SAFETY
A well-designed laboratory employing the right means will be an environmentally friendly laboratory.
The equipment and practices that bear a direct relation to SAFETY FOR PEOPLE, PROPERTY AND THE ENVIRONMENT in CONVENTIONAL laboratories are the FUME CUPBOARDS FROM DEMANLAB® AND OTHER BRANDS, and facility MAINTENANCE. Dimanlab® offers its clients optional periodic reviews to ensure the proper functioning of all our components, including their active and passive safety measures and any requisite and timely repairs, also covering:
EXTRACTION HOODS. A periodic review of the extraction system and the status of its components. Includes timely repairs and issuance of the corresponding report.
EXTRACTION ARMS. Periodic review of the extraction system and the condition of its articulated components. Includes timely repairs and issuance of the corresponding report.
CABINETS FOR FLAMMABLE AND CORROSIVE PRODUCTS. Review of exterior and interior corrosion levels, including removable trays and opening and closing elements, either manual or automatic. Review of the ventilation system and filters. Includes timely repairs and issuance of the corresponding report.
INTEGRATED FILTERS AND FILTRATION SYSTEMS. Review of filter status and saturation. Substitution and issuance of the corresponding report.
ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS. These must be equipped with all the safety and breaker components for the installed power rating, with the circuits and power lines clearly defined and suitable for actual power draw. Dimanlab® offers timely reviews of both control panels and protection and general lines, as well as the lines that pass through the interior of the furniture, with repair of any damaged components and issuance of the corresponding report.
FLUID INSTALLATIONS. Dimanlab® offers timely reviews with repair of damaged components both in the general lines and those that pass through the interior of the furniture and issuance of the corresponding report.
EMERGENCY SHOWERS. Operational verification and water mains connection. Timely repairs or replacement and issuance of the corresponding report.
EMERGENCY EYE WASH. Operational verification and water mains connection. Timely repairs or replacement and issuance of the corresponding report.
INSPECTION OF ENCLOSED STRUCTURES AND WAREHOUSES ATTACHED TO OR INTEGRATED INTO THE LABORATORY FOR FLAMMABLE AND CORROSIVE MATERIAL INDEPENDENTLY OF AREA VOLUME. Inspection of the installed ventilation system, shelves, cabinets and the operation of the door opening and closing mechanisms, either manual or automatic.
TECHNICAL GAS AND FUEL GAS equipment must be performed by the original installer. The person in charge will be notified if a failure or deficiency is visually detected in the installation.
AIR TREATMENT INSTALLATIONS AND AMBIENT OR EMERGENCY VENTILATION. This review must be carried out by the original installer. The person in charge will be notified if one of our technicians detects a failure or impairment using visual or tactile means. We offer a regular review with timely repairs and issuance of a report.
SIGNAGE AND EMERGENCY EVACUATION PLANS DURING FIRE ALARMS AND/OR DETECTION OF EXCESS CONCENTRATION OF TOXIC GASES OR FUELS. There must be a duly documented emergency plan along with the appropriate means to implement it made available to all designated personnel.
EMERGENCY EXITS. These must be located at established legal distances and evacuation routes must be completely free of obstacles.
EMERGENCY LIGHTING. Periodically, the condition of the emergency lighting equipment must be checked, during which its perfect operation must be ensured at both at the level of the luminosity produced and in terms of battery autonomy time. This equipment must be strategically positioned to illuminate evacuation routes and in sufficient numbers to provide adequate lighting. We offer an optional periodic review and the timely repair or replacement of components and issuance of the corresponding report.
